RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING COORDINATOR-FULL TIME
Annual Salary: $42,000
Qualifications: Degree in communications, business administration, or human services. Experience in adult education, training, curriculum development, data management; outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Summary of Job Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and evaluate strategies to include pre-service classroom training, flex training, and continuing education.This position will also oversee the efforts of VFC volunteer recruitment strategies in Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, and Leon counties. Training and recruitment activities will be coordinated with the Program Director and other related VFC staff. Demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions and recommendations regarding training and recruitment initiatives.

ADVOCATE SUPERVISOR AND VOLUNTEER RECRUITER-FULL TIME
Annual Salary: $42,000
Qualifications: Degree in communications, business administration, human services or social work or, at least three years of experience with a CASA program or in a similar position with Child Protective Services.* Experience in providing staff or volunteer supervision and ability to manage people. The ability to work under time constraints, be goal-oriented and maintain productive and effective performance and interaction with Advocate. Requires excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Summary of job responsibilities: The Advocate Supervisor and Volunteer Recruiter will be responsible for volunteer recruitment and Advocate supervision in Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, and Leon counties. This position will work closely with other VFC team members to ensure that recruitment messaging fits within the organizational communications plan and that there is a consistent organizational message given throughout the community on all media platforms. This position will also motivate, empower, guide and supervise Advocate as they advocate in the best interest of abused and neglected children in the Conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS).

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (preferred), or at least three years of relevant experience with a CASA program or Child Protective Services. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising staff or volunteers and possess a strong understanding of child and family advocacy, including placement options, therapeutic needs, legal rights, and permanency planning. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to effectively advocate for children and move cases through the system, and the capacity to work under deadlines while remaining organized and goal-oriented. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, and bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is a plus. Candidates without a completed degree may be asked to provide a writing sample.

Voices for Children offers flexible internship opportunities that allow students to gain experience in all areas of the organization (*Advocacy, Development and Administration) depending on their goals and skill set.

Internship Recruiting and Onboarding Schedule

Requirements:
- Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends required for certain internships.
- Enrolled in a college or university program
- Interest in nonprofits, social services, child advocacy or related fields
- Must successfully pass a criminal history and child abuse registry background check prior to start date.

*Interns applying for the Advocacy Program position must be at least 21 years old.
